Guen Murroni
Mental health is sensationalized and misrepresented in the media. I want to challenge that. Dissociative identity disorder (DID), in particular, has often been depicted by dangerous characters, including abusers. This couldn’t be further from the truth. A lot of people with DID have been abused themselves.
I’m tired of stereotypes. I want people with firsthand experience to enter the conversation surrounding mental health, which is finally opening up. As someone who has experienced dissociation myself, I am adamant to create a space with respectful – and joyous – stories.
