After suffering abuse from her stepfather, a queer sixteen-year-old must navigate life on the streets, until she eventually finds refuge at the Pu’uhonua o Wai’anae––Hawaiʻi’s largest organized homeless encampment.
We’re inspired by the protagonist’s journey to safety, empowerment, and belonging in a houseless community. This film offers a powerful reminder that loneliness is not only personal—it can also stem from systemic exclusion, marginalization, and socioeconomic inequality.
