I have worked as a porter for many years. I am fascinated by the fact that porters see everything that happens in a hospital, but no one sees them. They can make a big difference for a patient, a difference that doctors and nurses rarely notice. I wanted to tell a story about one of the most invisible porters of them all, Mai Linn. She is taken for granted by her colleagues but has a rich inner life that no one knows about. Through the portrayal of Mai Linn, I aim to foster empathy and understanding for individuals who may appear outwardly content but are silently struggling with loneliness or other internal conflicts. By shedding light on her inner world, the film invites viewers to empathize with her journey and experiences.
