Sew Into You

I wrote this because I was seeing a lack of lighthearted sweet stories in media about queer people (and lesbians specifically) and I wanted to fill the gap. This film was made to be a positive and playful representation of how the queer community can lean on each other to navigate their personal relationships and become more confident in how they identify.

A key theme of the film that there is no “correct” way to be queer. I wanted to showcase a positive and playful representation of how the queer community can lean on each other intergenerational to navigate their personal relationships and become more comfortable in how they identify.

Also, I know there has been some representation of elder queer women in movies/shows but I noticed almost every relationship represented was between a couple with a gigantic age gap. We wanted to better represent what a queer relationship could look like past your 50s rather than leaning into that common trope.
